FPV Brushless Motor Selection: Voltage, Propeller and Mounting Checks

Dernières nouvelles de l'entreprise sur FPV Brushless Motor Selection: Voltage, Propeller and Mounting Checks

Choosing an FPV brushless motor starts with a complete build specification. For civilian filming, training or recreational projects, a useful enquiry identifies the airframe, battery, propeller and electronic speed controller (ESC), rather than naming only a motor size. This gives the supplier a clear basis for checking the requested configuration.

Read the model and voltage together

Record the full motor designation, including its KV version. A familiar-looking motor housing or a similar product photograph is not enough to identify the electrical configuration. The ArcoSky product brochure, for example, lists a 3115-900KV motor with a 6S rated voltage. Keep both details together when requesting a quotation or comparing replacement parts.

A motor should be evaluated alongside the intended battery, propeller and ESC. T-MOTOR's motor-selection guidance also treats these components as an integrated choice, rather than ranking motors by KV or peak thrust alone. [1]

Check the physical installation

The same ArcoSky brochure entry lists 108 g weight with cable, an M5 shaft specification, and M3 / Ø19 mm mounting. These details belong in the purchasing checklist alongside the motor model. Confirm the frame's mounting drawing and the required fasteners before accepting a substitute.

Ask for a dimensioned drawing if a mounting notation is unclear. Record whether a weight includes the cable, and specify the cable length needed for the build. Keeping these details in the order record makes later replacement enquiries more precise and reduces dependence on photographs or abbreviated titles.

Keep propeller and test information specific

The brochure lists “1050” as the propeller configuration for this motor. That is a documented configuration reference, not approval for every propeller that shares a nominal size. Confirm the exact propeller and the complete assembly before ordering.

When comparing performance figures, request the associated voltage, propeller and test conditions. Manufacturer test data should be evaluated for the intended configuration. [1] Do not turn a motor's maximum-pull figure into an aircraft payload promise: a component specification does not establish the performance of a complete drone.

Prepare a clear enquiry

Send the full motor model, intended battery, exact propeller, ESC model, frame mounting information and required quantity. If an item remains undecided, mark it as pending instead of filling the gap with another model's data.

For an ArcoSky quotation, include the product-brochure entry you are using. A model-specific parts list gives both buyer and supplier a practical reference for discussing substitutions, checking specifications and confirming the final order.
